Up for sale is this very nice 1952 Fender American Vintage Telecaster, paired with a tweed Fender G & G case. Fender began reissuing these '52 Telecasters in the early 1980s in order to recapture their pre-CBS magic which had faded in the 1970s. Since then it has remained a staple of Fenders ever-growing line of reissue guitars.

The classic tones for which this instrument became famous grow organically from the distinctive woods that make up the core of the guitar. It begins with the lightweight two-piece ash body. Ash is definitely on the denser side, which provides more resonance, longer sustain, and brighter tones than many other woods. With its distinctive string-through design, the Telecaster stands out among Fender instruments as producing the twangiest and most cutting tones available. A thin coat of butterscotch see-through nitrocellulose lacquer complete the vintage look and feel of the body on this fine instrument.
